Nox technology for the production of Structural Castings

The automotive industry requires high-performance castings for body and suspension components.

The required values of Ultimate strength, yield strength, and elongation, cannot be obtained with traditional die casting process.

NoX technology is based on:

  • High Vacuum inside the die cavity
  • Transfer of the aluminium alloy from the holding furnace to the shot sleeve avoiding any contact with the atmosphere.
  • Accurate control of the velocity and fill time for the cast part.
  • Parts produced with NoX technology are characterized by the absence of oxides, very low hydrogen content and high casting integrity. This conditions makes NoX castings suitable for heat treatment and welding.

OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) identifies the percentage of manufacturing time that is truly productive. OLCS improves Quality, Performance and Availability (reducing Stop Time).
